250g Butter
140g Sugar
1 Egg Yolk
2 tsp Vanilla essence
300g Plain Flour
1 tbs cinnamon powder
- Mix together butter and sugar until smooth
- Beat in egg yolk and vanilla
- Mix in flour and cinnamon
- Refrigerate for a half hour
- Preheat oven to 180
- Roll out to about 1cm thick
- Cut out shapes
- Lay onto a greased baking tray
- Bake in the oven for approx 15 minutes until golden brown
- Leave to cool before decorating.
